Govt. wants proposals for use of Base lands
lands once the Americans leave.
A request for proposals is to appear on Monday in The Royal Gazette seeking help for the Base utilisation committee on "land use plans and economic development strategies.'' The advertisment says the prime consultant job is open to Bermudian or non-Bermudian firms.
"The prime consultant shall demonstrate experience in projects involving (but not limited to) military bases, economic development, economic analysis, market research, project management, production of supporting data, and development plans.'' Government is also seeking sub-consultants, which must be Bermudian. They would support the prime consultant with "the provision of local knowledge, technical engineering and design skills and other relevant expertise.'' The deadline for proposals is November 1.
