FIREFIGHTERS PUT OUT PRISON FIRE FIR Firefighters put out prison fire Fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire which broke out at Casemates prison close to midnight on Thursday.

A fire spokesman yesterday said 11 firemen and three appliances rushed to the Prison Officers club after receiving a report about a structural fire. They later learned the fire was at Casemates.

Information on the exact location and size of the fire and cost of damage was not available last night. But the spokesman said damage was confined to the prison lounge.

Firemen also responded to a fire at the Yankee Store yesterday. At 12.53 a.m.
