David Sousa, 45, pleaded guilty to stealing a $12.50 bottle of Smirnoff Vodka on Thursday at the Somerset MarketPlace store. He was convicted of a similar offence in 1995.
"I wanted to get arrested,'' explained Sousa, who has been living in an abandoned shed.
"Your wish has been granted,'' said Mr. King.
"Cool,'' Sousa responded.
`SPECIAL DRIVER' SOUGHT ED `Special driver' sought The Education Ministry is looking for a "special'' driver for its special needs students.
The bus driver is needed to transport special students to and from the Orange Valley School and the Opportunity Workshop.
Some students who have been "mainstreamed'' into the general school system may also need to be bused to and from their respective schools.
Human resources head Veronica Todd said the Ministry must replace a driver who is retiring.
She said the new driver must have good interpersonal skills to interact with the children.
She added: "They really form an important relationship with the students.

Gregory Eugene Campbell, 44, of the Salvation Army shelter on Marsh Lane, Pembroke, denied stalking Stacey O'Brian between March 1 and May 19 of this year.
A trial has been scheduled for November 5. Magistrate Edward King ordered $750 bail.
Cresswell Palmer Smith, of Knapton Hill, Smith's, is charged with stalking and assaulting Deborah Talbot in Smith's.
His trial has been set for November 13 in Magistrates' Court. Bail was set at $1,000.
