Companies involved in the buying and selling of the hotel are arguing over who should pay for a sewage treatment plant on the site of the Paget resort.

At present, waste is piped out beyond the reef, but the court heard yesterday how Government health chiefs had suggested that a treatment plant should be built.

The cost of such a plant is estimated to be in the region of one million dollars.

The buyers of the hotel, Marcor Realty, based in the US, claim they had not been told about the need for a plant.

But the sellers, Grimstone Ltd., are claiming that the plans were disclosed before major renovation work began.

Managing Director at Elbow Beach Mr. John Jefferis gave evidence yesterday.

The case is likely to end on Monday or Tuesday next week with the decision of Puisne Judge the Hon. Mr. Justice Ground expected some time later.
