Pitt was arrested on Monday and held in custody overnight before being taken by the Police to Magistrate's Court on Tuesday morning.

He was waiting at the back of the court for his case to be heard, but slipped out and fled the building.

Pitt, 48, of Horseshoe Road, Southampton, is described as being light brown skinned, about 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build and wearing a brown sweater, red sweat pants and sandals when he escaped.

Anyone spotting Pitt, who was arrested by Police executing a warrant, is asked to contact the Police on 295 0011.
