Developers of the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute and various objectors, including the National Trust and Crow's Nest apartment block residents, will be given an opportunity to make submissions during the hearing.

It is expected to adjourn early due to Queen's visit functions in which DAB members are involved.

The BUEI developers, who include Mr. David Lines and Finance Minister the Hon.

David Saul, have had architects change the plans three times to suit objectors and planning regulations.

In their latest set of plans, they scrapped foreshore encroachment of the Trust's historic Pembroke Hall property.

In a previous revision they had moved the complex completely off Pembroke Hall grounds.

But developers still plan to infringe on about 3,000 to 4,000 square feet of foreshore in front of the neighbouring Butterfield property.

Trust director Ms Amanda Outerbridge said concerns also remained about the high-tech building's height and size.
