Court yesterday -- charged with cannabis possession.

Terry Lee Pitt, 36, of Queen Street, admitted the charge to Acting Senior Magistrate the Wor. Cheryl-Ann Mapp.

Sgt. Kenrick James, prosecuting, told Mrs. Mapp that on October 23, Pitt went to St. George's Police Station to be treated for injuries which resulted from a fight.

Police officers noticed Pitt place a small yellow envelope in a trash can along with soiled tissues.

They watched him pretend to play with the soiled trash and place the envelope in his socks, then in his underwear, and return it to the trash.

When the officers took the envelope from the trash, Pitt said: "Listen, don't say anything. I don't know where it came from. Somebody must have planted it on me.'' The contents of the envelope revealed .87 grams of cannabis.

Mrs. Mapp fined Pitt $150.
