Man and his mother in a drunken state
Magistrates' Court heard.
Officers followed Milford Eugene Waldron on Middle Road, Devonshire after he overtook on a bend, causing oncoming cars to avoid crashing.
Asked if he had been drinking, he said: "Yes, so what? I can buy you one if you want.'' Waldron's breath test showed 114 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
Afterwards, the 27-year-old told Police: "Are you happy now? You're brain-washed by the white man's system and that's why you're locking me up.'' Waldron, of Chaingate Hill, Devonshire, admitted driving while impaired on October 30. He was taken off the road for a year and fined $350.

Brian D. Burgess, 30 of Dock Hill, pleaded guilty to fighting on Church Street and damaging a Police car.
Prosecuting Sgt. Rex Osborne told the court that on August 17 at 11.30 p.m.
Police were on patrol on Church Street when they saw Burgess engaged in a heated argument with another man.
"As the Police car approached them Burgess hit the other man over the head with a crash helmet. Then the two crashed into the Police car while fighting putting a dent on the vehicle,'' Sgt. Osborne said.
Damage to the car was valued at $450.
When asked by Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis if he had anything to say Burgess said: "We both had had a little too much to drink. It started because he did not want to give me my bag.'' Mr. Francis fined Burgess $150 for fighting and $300 for damaging the car $225 of which will be compensation to the Police.

After Police went to examine the woman, who was lying motionless on the ground, her son spat at one of them.
Prosecutor Sgt. Ken James told the court that just after 1 a.m. yesterday, Police got a report of two people fighting in the area of Astwood Cove apartments.
They found Quinton James Francis, of Winton Lane, Hamilton Parish, with his mother.
They approached the woman to make sure she was in no imminent danger, but her son swore at them and then spat in the face of one officer. Francis admitted using offensive behaviour on Rocklands estate and assaulting a Police officer, and was fined $400.
"I really couldn't say what happened,'' he told the court.
