Man critical after accident
And a 19-year-old Pembroke man died in an accident in New York.
The single-vehicle crashes left a 20-year-old Sandys man in critical condition and a 26-year-old Paget man in stable condition, both with head injuries at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
In the more serious accident, the Sandys man collided with a utility pole on Middle Road in Southampton on Saturday, Police said yesterday.
It happened at about 8.30 a.m., just west of Frank's Bay. Anyone with information is asked to call Sgt. Lou Griffith at 234-1010. In the other accident, the Paget man struck a lamp post near the Ord Road Grocery on Ord Road in Paget at about 2 a.m. on Sunday. P.c. Pythagoras Santiago, who can be reached at 234-1010, is investigating.
In New York, Mr. Nicholas Brown died suddenly. It is understood he fell off a roof. He is the son of Ms Debra Brown of Pembroke.
In another weekend incident, a man was stabbed in the face during a domestic dispute on Friday at a residence in Pembroke.
The 33-year-old man was treated for knife wounds at hospital. A 22-year-old woman is in custody and the investigation is continuing.
A 37-year-old Warwick woman had her handbag snatched from her moving cycle on Friday night, Police said.
The woman was westbound on South Road near Warwick Long Bay at about 10 p.m.
when another cycle rode alongside and the rider grabbed her knapsack from the rear basket, Police said.
Stolen was a wallet containing $100 and credit cards, a Sony Walkman, clothes, and other personal items.
