dangerous driving, was arraigned in Supreme Court yesterday.

Jay Troy Smith, 25 of Smith's Parish, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Smith, represented by Mr. Philip Perinchief, is charged with causing the death of Omar Smith on Happy Valley Road on October 14 1992.

Puisne Judge the Hon. Mrs. Justice Wade set the case for mention early next year.

Also arrainged yesterday were; Gilbert Trounsell Osbourne, 37, of Warwick and Berwyn Trevor Cann, 36, of Pembroke were charged with conspiring to import cannabis between an unknown date and January 17, 1994 and importing cannabis on January 13. They pleaded not guilty to both charges and will appear for mention next month; Dwayne Robert Young, 30, represented by Mr. Archibald Warner, is charged with robbery and will appear for mention next month. He was further remanded in custody; Jerry Alexander Ming, 29, of Green Acres, Devonshire charged with importing $35,000 of cocaine and handling with intent to supply, had bail extended until his February re-trial; Llewellyn Anthony Nesbitt, 24, is charged with importing heroin and cocaine.

He will appear in court again next month. Bail was extended; Roger Eugene Lightbourne, 27, was remanded in custody until his March trial.

He is accused of stealing $700 from Roosters restaurant in January; Carlston Hollis Spencer, 52, will go on trial next month for importing and handling cannabis. Bail was extended; Antoine Jermaine Bean, 23, who has pleaded guilty to stealing more than $2,000 appeared for mention yesterday; Leonard Wilson, 32, and Shawn Smith, 24, charged with 19 counts of breaking and entering and burglary, were remanded in custody until they appear for mention next month; Winston Albouy, 46, Richard Davis, 35, Joseph Hunt, 40, and Dennis Warren, 44, charged with conspiracy to import cocaine and importation, possession and handling of the drug will go on trial in March. Bail was extended for all of them; Lamont Russell Mason, 25, and Michael Anthony Ross, 24, face trial in March for conspiracy to import heroin and importation and possession of the drug.

Bail was extended for Mason while Ross will remain in custody.
