Last Thursday, a man snatched an elderly woman's handbag while she waited for a bus.

During the incident the man managed to avoid capture as several witnesses chased him shortly after the alleged incident occurred.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident but said they are extremely grateful for the help they received from witnesses.
