And Police have arrested a 31-year-old Pembroke man who allegedly committed the offence.

Police spokesperson Evelyn James Barnett said the stabbing took place after the men became involved in an altercation on Thursday.

The incident took place at an Orchard Garden, Pembroke residence.

Mrs. James Barnett said that the older of the two men was stabbed a number of times in the abdomen with a knife and remains in stable condition with serious injuries.

The suspect was also injured in the altercation, suffering a dislocated right shoulder and bump to the head.

He was treated at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, released and then arrested. The case is still under investigation. Anyone with information should call Central CID at 295-0011.
