57-Near-old Vincello `Johnny Peppers' Richardson took the stand in the Supreme Court yesterday.

Anthony Brown told the court that on December 17 Flood gave him $100 to "make a run on Court Street to get some cocaine.

"I got half a gram of coke for him, which he shared with four people,'' Brown said.

Flood 28, who is represented by Mr. Tim Marshall, is charged with killing and robbing Richardson of $3,400 and breaking into his apartment in the early hours of the morning on December 17.

Brown told the court that he ran into Flood, who was with another man named Neville `Froggie' Richardson, on Court Street.

"They were buying cocaine and they wanted somewhere to go and smoke it,'' Bean said.

He added: "I took them to John Roach's apartments where they took about two hours to smoke.

"Flood had money and I saw some of it. He gave me some to get some more coke.'' The court also heard from two taxi drivers who picked Flood up the night Richardson was killed.

Taxi driver Keith Astwood said he picked up Flood in St. George's but could not take him as far as Pembroke where he wanted to go.

"I told Flood that I had a pick-up at the Marriott Hotel but I would call him another taxi which he could meet at the Airport. He told me he had money to pay me but I told him I couldn't take him,'' Astwood said.

He added: "I knew he had been drinking because I could smell it on his breath, but he wasn't drunk.

"I asked him where he had been and he said he was at the Caribbean Lounge visiting with a girl.'' Another taxi driver Kenneth Thompson said he picked Flood up from the Airport and took him to Princess Street in Pembroke.

Earlier this week the jury heard how Flood first kicked Richardson outside his apartment on York street because Richardson allegedly slapped Flood in the mouth.

Flood told Police he forced Richardson into the courtyard of his apartment causing him to trip over a sidewalk. He then stumbled through the unlocked, partially opened door and fell on the ground.

"As he was getting up he swore at me and started coming at me. I kept kicking him in the face and then when he didn't move anymore I knew he was dead,'' Flood said in a Police statement.

After Allegedly killing Richardson, Flood told Police that the money he had taken from him had fallen out of Richardson's pocket. He also said he removed money from Richardson's wallet.

He added: "I got scared and ran, then I saw Eugene `Birdie' Broadley on Pound Alley and he told me that he had seen what I did and he wanted to know how much money I got.'' Flood also told Police that after getting Broadley to help him dispose of Richardson's body he gave him some money and stashed the rest of it behind the Somers Playhouse and by the golf course.

The jury also heard from several doctors who said that Richardson suffered bruising to his head and several bruises and lacerations to his face.

He also suffered two fractures to the jaw and two teeth were kicked out of his mouth.

The trial continues on Monday before Puisne Judge the Hon. Mrs. Justice Wade.
