Flood, of Lighthouse Road, St. David's, is accused of murdering Vincello (Johnny Peppers) Richardson, whose body was pulled from St. George's harbour on December 17.

The 27-year-old is also charged with robbing Richardson of $3,400 and breaking into his home.

Mr. Francis further remanded him in custody.

Also appearing in Magistrates' Court was Eugene Victor Broadley, of Coot Pond Road, St. George's.

Broadley is accused of being an accessory to murder after the fact. It is alleged he helped dispose of Richardson's body.

Mr. Francis extended Broadley's bail and adjourned the hearing until January 26.

TWICE THE LIMIT CTS Peter Leslie Josh rode his bike while more than twice over the drink-drive limit, Magistrates' Court heard yesterday.

He was found to have 167 milligrams of alcohol -- the legal limit is 80 -- in 100 millilitres of blood, said Prosecutor Sgt. Cyril Plant.

Sgt. Plant said Josh was stopped by Police on South Road, Paget, at 3 a.m. on December 12 after he had been riding erratically.

Josh, of Hinson Island, told the court: "It was a stupid decision to drive, which I regret.'' The 31-year-old, who admitted driving while impaired, was fined $450 and taken off the road for 12 months.

DRIVER HIT WALL CTS Drunken driver Lionel Halls lost control of his Toyota van and ploughed into a wall on Somerset Road, Magistrates' Court heard yesterday.

The accident occurred at about 8.15 p.m. on December 11 last year, said prosecutor Sgt. Cyril Plant.

Tests showed Halls had 154 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, he added.

Sgt. Plant said Halls told Police he had drunk three beers.

Halls, 53, of Rose Hill, Southampton, admitted driving while impaired. He was fined $450 and taken off the road for 12 months. CANNABIS CHARGE CTS A Puerto Rican appeared in Magistrates' Court yesterday charged with importing cannabis worth $100,000.

Spanish-speaking Ariel David Rivera-Ruiz, 23, who lives in Miami, was remanded in custody until January 26.

Lawyer Mr. Rod Attride-Stirling, who speaks Spanish, was called to the courtroom to act as interpreter.

Crown Counsel Mr. Brian Calhoun said Rivera-Ruiz, a single man, was a self-employed roofer.

He told Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis six packages were allegedly found on Rivera-Ruiz as he entered Bermuda.

The drugs weighed 1.99 kilograms, Mr. Calhoun claimed.

Mr. Francis agreed Rivera-Ruiz should have an official interpreter at the next hearing.
