appointment of the next head of Bermuda High School for Girls.

Mrs. Eleanor Wilkie Kingsbury has been hired to take over the job next year from Mr. Jack Wright.

"I consider it an honour and a privilege to accept the invitation of the Board of Trustees of the Bermuda High School for Girls to become the school's next head,'' Mrs. Kinsbury said.

"I have been aware that BHS offers a rare and, for me, a compelling opportunity to integrate the best of the British and North American systems of education for the benefit of girls.'' Mrs. Kinsbury is a product of the Scottish educational system, although she has spent most of her adult life at independent schools throughout the US. "I regard becoming the head of BHS as a fitting capstone to my career as an educator.'' Mrs. Kingsbury said.
