There will be no town crier to announce the arrival of the Governor Lord Waddington.

No replacement has been found for Mr. Bob Burns -- once described as the loudest man in the world -- who died last month.

Otherwise the ceremony should be business as usual with the same pomp and tradition since it began in 1816.

The Governor and Lady Waddington will arrive by landau at King's Square around 11 a.m., where they will be met by the Mayor of St. George's the Wor. Henry Hayward.

He will inspect the guard of honour provided by recruits of the Bermuda Regiment.

The Governor will receive an address of welcome from the Mayor and make a speech in return.

He will then receive the annual rent of one peppercorn for the State House from the Master of the Masonic Lodge of St. George's.

A prayer will be offered before the Governor is taken to the State House and then onto a reception with the Mayor.
