Pension Commission CEO sought
set to be launched in January.
The Chief Executive Officer and Pension Analyst posts were advertised this week to manage the registering and monitoring of existing and new pension plans.
Their duties will also include promoting awareness of the Scheme in the community as well as working with employers on new plans.
Passed one year ago, the scheme will be a first for the Island and the National Pension Commission has promised it will launch in January as promised.
The chief executive officer's duties will include directing the small staff, and develop the practices and procedures of the office.
Knowledge of the pensions field would be an asset but proven leadership, management, and interpersonal skills are needed by the successful applicant.
The future CEO must have at least ten years' work experience, with at least five years at a senior management level.
The sucessful applicant must also have a Master's degree or equivalent in business, commerce, law or related field.
The analyst must evaluate pension plan documents to ensure compliance and advise the CEO on technical matters and best practices and have at least five years' experience in a similar environment.
In addition, the pension analyst must also perform investigations, including complaints and reviews.
Possession of a Bachelor's degree or appropriate professional designation is required and knowledge of actuarial principles and techniques is preferred.
