Plans for Bermuda's newest nightclub moved another step forward when they were submitted to the Development Applications Board.

Objectors to the planned club at Number Six Shed on Front Street now have two weeks to put their complaints in writing.

The application is for "interior renovation to a multi-purpose entertainment centre and addition of external stair, fencing and roller shutters.'' Alterations include the building of a stage and the installation of exit doors and toilets.

The Corporation of Hamilton has agreed to lease the building to Bermudian businessman Mr. Nelson Hunt.

He already has a provisional liquor licence for the club which will be managed by Mr. Leroy Lewis, an employee of Gosling's.

The Corporation received a flood of inquiries after inviting people to submit bids for the running of the club last year.

Mr. Hunt's bid has been described as "excellent'' and will not lead to major structural changes to the building.
