"Violent Crime -- What are the Solutions?'' is the topic of the first open meeting of the PLP's crime review committee.

The meeting is set for 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Leopards Club.

A committee spokesman said the emphasis of the meeting would be "information gathering'' and public input. "It is not about `politicking', but rather a systematic approach to collecting information, collating the findings, and building up a database for empirical analysis,'' the spokesman said.

Speakers at the forum include committee members Ms Gwen Robinson, Mr. Nelson Bascome MP, Dr. Ewart Brown MP, and Mr. Rolfe Commissiong.
