Spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said the rider of a blue auxiliary cycle was believed to have been at the scene of the accident which occurred last Sunday morning on Harrington Sound Road in Smith's Parish.

The accident occurred at 11.20 a.m. as the fire engine responded to a fire alarm at Marriott's Castle Harbour Resort.

Fire Service spokesman Lt. Jon Thompson said the driver of the fire engine lost control and the vehicle crossed over the lane and the back of the vehicle struck the offside wall. The vehicle returned to the eastbound lane and remounted the sidewalk before it stopped.

Two firemen riding on the back step on the truck were injured.

MOTHER FINED $300 CTS Mother fined $300 A mother stopped from seeing her daughter because of a court order kicked a door in, a court heard yesterday.

Felicia Hassan, of Khyber Pass, Warwick, caused more than $1,800 in damage to the door to the Child and Family Services department.

Senior Magistrate Will Francis fined the 28-year-old $300 after she pleaded guilty to the January 26 incident.

He had been told Hassan's boyfriend was allowed in to see their little girl but Hassan was stopped when she tried to visit.

DRUGS COST MAN $850 CTS Drugs cost man $850 Magistrates fined a Warwick man $850 for possession of cocaine and heroin yesterday.

Ray Whitecross, a 40-year-old married father-of-one, was stopped by Police as he drove along North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish on April 17.

Officers searched him under the Misuse of Drugs Act and found 0.16 grammes of diamorphine, or heroin.

He was searched again at Hamilton Police Station, where officers found 0.81 grammes of cocaine in two pieces.

The court heard he told Police: "That's coke. I use it to relieve stress.'' Whitecross, of Sun Valley Road, pleaded guilty to both offences. He was fined $250 for the heroin and $600 for the cocaine.

FIRE DAMAGES HOME FIR Fire damages home A residence on Horseshoe Bay Road in Southampton sustained $1,500 worth of damage.

Fire broke out in a bedroom closet on Sunday morning, destroying clothing and other personal items and causing smoke damage.

JET SKI TRIAL DATE SET CTS Jet ski trial date set A trial date has been set for a man facing charges relating to a jet ski accident in which a fisherman died.

Bruce Dawson Foggo will appear at the Magistrates' Court on November 9.

He pleaded not guilty to being a person who it was believed was committing the offence, without reasonable excuse failed to comply with a demand to give a breath test for analysis.

Foggo, 34, of Ballast Point, St. George's, also pleaded not guilty to piloting a craft in the waters of Bermuda when his ability to do so was impaired by alcohol of drugs.

A charge of piloting a craft without due care and attention was also denied by Foggo. All the offences are alleged to have occurred on April 12.

It is understood an inquest into the death of Mr. Al-Reulle Shamsid Deen, 50, of North Shore, will be held before November. He died after the fishing vessel he was on was in collision with a jet ski.
