Police are reminding drivers and passengers to open car doors with care after a cyclist lost control of his cycle.

The accident occured on Gorham Road on Monday when a truck driver open the door of his truck when the cyclist was over taking causing the rider to lose control.
He received deep lacerations to his hands and bruising to his legs, and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.
A Police spokesperson said: "It may be an opportune time to remind drivers and passengers to open car doors with care.
"Always check behind before doing so, as accidents of this nature are not infrequent.
"Motorists and cyclists can also help by giving a wide berth when passing parked vehicles, in case a door should open unexpectedly.''
