A weekend birthday party in Sound View Road, Sandys, turned sour after the woman occupant of the house discovered the theft of several items of jewellery.

Stolen were a 14 karat gold wedding ring with five diamonds, a wedding band with a central diamond flanked by two smaller gems and a 14 karat gold ring with a central blue, diamond shaped topaz stone, flanked by two diamonds.

Also stolen was a gold-coloured Citizen watch.

An air compressor was taken from a Somerset Road, Sandys, apartment sometime between last Tuesday and Saturday afternoon.

And a variety of items were stolen from an Elliot Street, Pembroke, house sometime between 9.30 p.m. and midnight last Thursday.

Taken were a black lamp, a cordless BTC phone, two drills plus a box of drill bits, a BTC Maestro phone, a cooler chest, a pair of black roller blades, a Samsung 15-inch computer monitor, a Dell computer processor and a Maxell computer disc.

Police are are also looking into the theft of a large grey gas cylinder which was stolen from a Middletown Lane, Pembroke home last Monday night.

At the Palmetto Bay Hotel last Wednesday, a visiting couple reported the theft of cash and a handbag from their room.

The handbag contained credit cards and an undisclosed amount of cash. Several pieces of jewellery were stolen from a Harrington Sound Road in Smith's Parish at some time last week between 8 a.m. on Wednesday and 11 p.m. on Thursday.
