Benjamin are asked to contact Police.

In particular, Police would like to speak to the driver of a large white truck travelling east on North Shore Road following the taxi involved in the accident.

"The truck driver is not suspected of any wrongdoing but may be able to assist with the inquiry,'' a Police statement said.

"The investigating officer would also like to speak to a gentleman who assisted the injury party up until the ambulance arrived.'' The witnesses are asked to contact P.c. Adrian Cook at 295-0011.

Mr. Benjamin, 39, was travelling east in the same direction as the taxi when the accident occurred, about 9 p.m.

Mr. Benjamin was married, a resident of Loyal Hill, Devonshire and a worker at the Marriott Castle Harbour Resort.

Four appliances and 13 personnel responded to reports of a structural fire on Glebe Road in Pembroke.

The Fire Brigade also put out a brush fire on Hermitage Road, Devonshire, which damaged an area 30 metres by 30 metres.

The Fire Brigade also responded to a flood caused by a blocked drain at a house in Cedar Hill, Warwick. Little damage was caused.
