The MPs are holding the forum following the detention last month of a Warwick resident for questioning by Police.

TRIAL DELAYED CTS The trial of a 24-year-old Smith's Parish man accused of attempted murder was delayed yesterday after a female member of the Supreme Court jury called in sick.

Puisne Judge the Hon. Mrs. Justice Wade adjourned the case until Monday morning.

Michael O'Donald Fox of Bridle Hill pleaded not guilty to attempting to murder and rob 46-year-old office manager Michael O'Brian on November 2, last year.

ROAD ACCIDENT AC An accident occurred near the roadworks on South Shore Road in Devonshire yesterday, sending a 45-year-old Hamilton Parish man to hospital with shoulder injuries.

Despite temporary lights controlling traffic passing by the work site, a motorcycle rider, travelling east, nearly collided with a car approaching from the opposite direction.

The rider swerved to the left to try and avoid collision, but in doing so, drove into a trench at the site.

The accident occurred just west of Collector's Hill gas station.

BLADES BAN AC Police have warned that the popular sport of rollerblading is banned in Hamilton, following an accident involving a visitor on Reid Street.

The woman, a 34-year-old visitor, was rollerblading on Thursday afternoon when a truck in front of her apparently came to a halt at a crossing and she was unable to stop.

She collided with the back of the truck, but suffered no serious injuries. The truck was slightly dented.

Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said roller-blading is not permitted by law in the City of Hamilton and advised people use caution elsewhere on the Island.

BAKERY THEFT CRM An employee of a Pembroke bakery yesterday reported the theft of money from his trouser pockets while he was at work, allegedly by two women and a man.

The 41-year-old reported to Police the trio entered the changing room at his workplace on North Street around 3.45 a.m. yesterday.

He stopped one of the women in the bakery, but the group escaped after he was threatened with a bottle by the man in the group.
