shredder has been repaired.
Stable owners and operators have complained about the lack of shredded paper to use as bedding since the shredder at the Devon Springs Recycling Centre broke down.
Minister of Works and Engineering the Hon. Leonard Gibbons apologised for inconvenience caused over the past few months.
Mr. Gibbons added that the shredded paper could now be collected from the Recycling Centre.
A spokesperson said: "The repairs to the shredding equipment provide improved ventilation for the operators and better and safer working conditions overall.'' The Ministry also stated that there is no truth to the suggestion that aluminium cans are being disposed of at Pembroke Dump.
Aluminium and steel cans continue to be baled and shipped to the United States for recycling as usual.
