Road Safety Week underway

Today Transport Minister Ewart Brown is due to unveil the Safe Roads Now compliance programme.

The next day, safe and courteous driving awards will be presented to Bermuda's oldest public service vehicle licensees.

And Wednesday will be National Go Slow Day with the Road Safety Council asking all drivers to strictly adhere to the speed limit and turn on their headlights to show their support.

Thursday's activities will highlight child safety awareness as Dr. Brown and Education Minister Milton Scott and Works and Engineering Minister Alex Scott commend the child safety restraints of the Warwick and Ace pre-school vehicles.

Throughout the day, Shell gas stations will distribute child safety literature while Safe Kids videos and infomercials will air at 8 p.m.
