Police reported that a female cashier was behind the counter at 7.45 p.m. when a man, dressed in black, wearing a hood and brandishing a knife entered and demanded money from the till. The robber was given money and fled.

A Police spokesman said the woman was not injured. The amount of money taken was not yet known.

Last night Police also reported an 8.30 p.m. attack on a man outside of Admiralty House in Spanish Point.

The man, who had been walking, was robbed and beaten by three males but was able to escape without being badly injured.
