Now Police have apologised for giving no warning about their motorcycle training course.

Three student officers have been on the course this week, watched by a Police Driving School instructor.

They have been wearing fluorescent yellow jackets over their uniforms so they can be easily identified.

This week they were put through test routines, reaching high speeds.

Said Police spokeswoman Sgt. Roseanda Jones: "We would like to ask motorists to be on the lookout for these officers and take special precautions when they approach.

"We understand that this motorcycle course has caused some concern to residents, and we apologise for not forewarning the public.''
