Senators congratulate

Sen. Gary Pitman also congratulated chief engineer for the Department of Works and Engineering Mr. David Arden who received a medal by the Institute of Civil Engineers in London last week.

He was the winner of the institute's Civil Engineer Manager of the year award.

Sen. Neletha Butterfield, Sen. Gerald Simons and Sen. Terry Lister congratulated the North Village Community Club band and its band master.

And Sen. Lister also sent congratulations and condolences to ZBM-TV sports reporter Mr. Darren (Butch) Burchall.

"Darren's house caught on fire but he managed to get in the house and save his sister,'' Sen. Lister said.

He added that Darren had been through various changes in the past, and works hard in the community and on ZBM.

"I offer him condolences on the loss of his house and congratulations on saving the life of his sister.'' Sen. Simons also sent congratulations to Sen. Grant Gibbons for winning the primary election.
