College was recently accepted to a prestigious doctoral programme at a top US university.

Eugenie Simmons will soon join the Adult Education Intensive Guided Study (AEGIS) Doctoral Programme at Columbia University in New York.

Only 15 people are admitted to the programme every two years and Ms Simmons was also awarded an international scholarship by the school to help pursue the degree.

Ms Simmons intends to focus her dissertation on adult education policy and practice in Bermuda.
