Crown counsel Lesley Basden said Vita Sanchez, 18, of Happy Valley Road, Pembroke, went to the home of Lucia Baccaetti, 32, on the night of March 20.

After a heated argument, Sanchez punched through the screen to hit Baccaetti in the face. Baccaetti suffered a bloody nose, a bruised right cheek, and an abrasion to her eye.

Duty counsel Helen Cooper said the matter was a domestic dispute and asked Acting Senior Magistrate Edward King not to impose a sentence.

Mr. King noted Sanchez's age, clean record, and the alleged provocation. He therefore bound her over to keep the peace for one year.
