Anthony Flood, 28 of Lightbourne Road, pleaded guilty to the charge.

Prosecutor Sgt. Rex Osborne told the court that between November 20 and November 29 Flood broke into the St. David's restaurant and stole $748.78 worth of alcohol and food from the storage room.

"Flood entered the restaurant by prying open a window on the western side of the building,'' Sgt. Osborne said. "While inside, Flood gained access to the storeroom by using a key which he said was sold to him.'' Sgt. Osborne added that later on Police were doing a routine check of the St.

George's Post Office and found the goods behind the building.

"Police later questioned Flood about the incident and he admitted to the offence.'' Duty Council Mr. Justin Williams told the court that Flood had been drinking quite heavily when he stole from the restaurant.

"After going home Flood realised he had a problem and he did the wrong thing.

He then took the items back to the owner,'' Mr. Williams said.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis bailed Flood in the sum of $500 until the reading of the report on January 4.
