National Social Workers Association exam have passed.

They are now able to practise privately in the field of psychotherapy. In the past social workers holding master's degrees had to sit the exam abroad.

One of the first aims of the Bermuda Clinical Social Workers Council, when it was formed two years ago, was to upgrade standards for social workers by eliminating barriers to progress, said Council president Ms Sharol Simmons.

Those obtaining national certification were: Miss Jenal Swan, Mr. Alfred Lewis and Ms Victoria Barnhill-Hensen.
