Kevin Butterfield, of Acacia Lane, Sandys, admitted assaulting George Mouchette.

He also pleaded guilty to possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

Magistrates' Court heard the incident occurred at Cambridge Road, Sandys, at around 3.30 p.m. on Thursday.

Prosecutor Sgt. Rex Osborne said Butterfield struck Mouchette on the arm with the bat during a row.

The blow caused Mouchette's arm to swell, added Sgt. Osborne.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis adjourned the case for reports until June 25.
