Princess waiter who admitted stealing a motorcycle from the Police compound.

Jamal Robinson, of Hillview, Warwick, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to stealing and/or receiving a Yamaha motorcycle worth $1,400 from the Prospect site.

On April 25, Police saw Robinson riding a motorcycle on Middle Road, Southampton shortly after 2.30 a.m., said prosecutor Sgt. Kenrick James.

Robinson was stopped on another Police matter and the cycle was impounded and taken to Prospect.

About 10 a.m. the next day the Police impounding officer went to check the cycle and discovered it was missing. It was reported stolen, Sgt. James said.

Robinson was later arrested on suspicion of stealing the motorcycle from the Police compound.

Robinson admitted that he went to the compound and took the cycle without permission. He also admitted putting a false licence plate on it.

To this date the cycle has not been recovered, Sgt. James said.

Robinson did not have a criminal record.

"Because of his age and a matter like this, I think I want to find out more...'' Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis said.

He adjourned the matter until August 20 when the social inquiry report is due.

Robinson was bailed in the sum of $500 with a like surety.
