arbitration to settle their dispute.

A meeting between Bermuda Industrial Union members and Marine and Ports took place last Thursday in a bid to resolve a tug crewing issue, but was unsuccessful.

Now both sides are set to return to arbitration next Thursday.

The issue surrounds Faithful tug pilot Kenneth Todd, whose return to work after a year's absence was the catalyst for a two-day stoppage.

Faithful crew had outstanding grievances with Mr. Todd, but after binding arbitration last month staff still refused to work with him even though arbitration ordered a crew to be found.

The meeting last week failed again to get a five-man crew and now the dispute will again go before arbitration.

Marine and Ports staff are understood to be extremely disappointed that an agreement could not be found.
