Two of the men accused of assaulting two Somerset Police officers were not required to enter a plea in Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Levi Robinson 27, and Kyle Desmond Baxter 18, were charged with assaulting P.c. Pythagoras Santiago and P.c. Dean Stanford causing them bodily harm on March 12 in Sandys Parish.

They will be tried in Supreme Court when they will be able to enter pleas.

The two officers required hospital treatment after being beaten unconscious last Saturday.

Crown Counsel Mr. Melvin Douglas requested the matter be held over for two weeks.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis bailed Robinson and Baxter for $1,000 each with a like surety. They return to court on March 30.

He also required them to report to the Somerset Police Station on Wednesday and Friday each week between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
