A car travelling west slid across the centre line and collided with a light van coming in the opposite direction, a Police spokesman said.

A bike then crashed into the van, which was in front of it.

The injured included the driver of the car, several passengers, and the bike rider. They were treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

It is not believed the van driver was injured.

The accident occurred at about 5 p.m. outside St. Paul's Church. Police said the road was wet following a rain shower.
