CONCERTS AT CITY HALL ENT Two lunch-time concerts will give Hamiltonians a taste of some fine music at City Hall over the weekend.

Firstly The Continental Singers will perform on the City Hall steps today.

This group of young people, aged 15 to 25 from all over the world, will begin two 20-minute sessions at noon and 1 p.m.

Singing an up-beat variety of gospel and Christian-orientated music, they have been visiting the Island for more than 20 years and will perform in concert tonight, Friday and Saturday.

Tomorrow on the steps the Detroit Windsor Dance Company will being their tour of Europe at 12.30 p.m.

An African-American Dance Troupe, they will perform in City Hall on Sunday night.

Seating will be available at the open air concerts for senior citizens and the handicapped, who have been specially invited to attend.

STITCHES FOR TEENAGER AC A 16-year-old girl needed 19 stitches to her knee after being involved in a head-on collision, Tuesday evening.

She was a passenger on a motorbike being driven by a 17-year-old Paget girl.

Police said the girls were heading east on Middle Road near the Manse Road junction when they collided with a 56-year-old Southampton man heading west on his motorcycle around 8 p.m.

Extensive damage was done to both bikes. The female driver suffered a jaw injury and her passenger received a slight shoulder wound as well as requiring stitches.

The Southampton man got away with slight bruising to his knee. Enquiries are continuing.
