The pair told Police they were walking toward a Paget hotel at about 10 p.m.

on Thursday when they noticed a man walking toward them.

As the man neared them he appeared to stumble and fell toward them, Police spokesperson Evelyn James-Barnett said.

"However, he then pushed both of them to the ground and allegedly started to punch the man in the left side of his ribs,'' she added.

"He then apparently grabbed the woman around her neck and told the man to pay up or he would harm his wife.'' The male visitor handed over his wallet as a result of this.

The robber then climbed onto the back of a motorcycle which had come from the direction of the hotel and both the rider and the robber rode off toward South Road.

The robber -- who escaped with the wallet which contained an undisclosed amount of cash, credit cards, and other personal items -- was described as a six-foot brown-skinned male, of stocky build with a long face, clean shaven, and with short hair.

He was wearing a dark bomber jacket, black trousers, and a dark shirt.
