Willis Leroy Ebbin, 35, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court yesterday to driving while impaired on Dudley Hill in Paget on the night of April 2. Police were called when he crashed his friend's car into a utility pole.
Ebbin told the court he had accidentally put his foot on the gas peddle instead of the brake.
Prosecutor Sgt. Rex Osborne said Ebbin's lowest reading on the breathalyser was 180 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milligrams of blood.
"It was a very expensive wedding,'' Acting Magistrate the Wor. Kim White remarked.
