West, 26, was remanded into custody until February 21 so court papers on the matter could be finalised by the Attorney General's Chambers.

The St. George's man must be officially served with the papers before any trial can begin.

His wife, 30-year-old Rochelle Marcia West, was stabbed to death at her Albuoy's Point workplace on January 5.

West has been charged with premeditated murder and could face the death penalty if convicted.
