Police said the woman received stitches for a head injury at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital soon after the 1 a.m. accident in which her Volkswagen Golf hit the pole. Police said fatigue may have helped cause the accident.
In the second incident, the 24-year-old driver's Toyota Tercel hit a tree on the side of the road. The driver was unhurt in the 4.15 a.m. accident, although the car was extensively damaged.
No other vehicles were involved.
