Bill was here: Hurricane Bill left his mark at Horseshoe Bay with high winds and surf eroding some of the beach. Government is urging beachgoers to exercise caution in places.
The Island's beaches reopened yesterday for swimming. Beach users however, were warned to exercise caution due to "erosion and shifting of sand, as well as debris that may be still in the water".
A Government spokesman said particular care should be taken at: Long Bay, Cooper's Island; the eastern end of John Smith's Bay; the western end of Warwick Long Bay; and Port Royal Cove, Horseshoe Bay.
Lifeguards are now back on duty, while Government workers are busy clearing any debris from the sands.
The spokesman said: "Horseshoe and John Smith's Bay have been raked and were open to the public on Sunday."
Life after Bill: Beach goers take to the beach with Hurricane Bill a thing of the past, riding waves was the fun thing to do at Horseshoe Bay.
