Bell re-elected as Bermuda Bar president

Commercial litigator Kiernan Bell has been re-elected as president of the Bermuda Bar Association.The Appleby partner was first elected to the office last year and was voted back in at the Association's AGM on Thursday.Delroy Duncan also remains in position as vice president and Justin Williams as honorary secretary.

Delroy Duncan also remains in position as vice president and Justin Williams as honorary secretary.

The membership of the Bar Council also remains the same as last year lawyers Harry Kessaram, Karen Williams-Smith, Richard Horseman, Christian Luthi, Barclay Simmons and Elizabeth Christopher.

The Bermuda Bar Association is the governing body for the legal profession in Bermuda and is responsible for both the regulation and discipline of members. Through an elected Bar Council, the association is responsible for matters pertaining to admission to practice law in the jurisdiction and rules of conduct for its members.
