Car and bike collide

Police attended an accident at the junction of Middle Road and Vesey Street in Devonshire where a car and cycle collided.

At 9 a.m. Saturday, the auxiliary cycle was travelling east on Middle Road and the car was exiting Vesey Street when the vehicles collided.

The rider of the auxiliary cycle, a 16-year-old young woman from Pembroke was taken to hospital in an ambulance for treatment of pain as well as bruising to her shoulders and ribs.

The driver of the car, a 28-year-old Sandys parish man, was not injured.

Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Biker hits a wall

A Smith's man lost control of his motorcycle and hit a wall Friday night.

Police attended the accident at 9.20 p.m. on Middle Road in Devonshire near the junction with Christ Church Lane.

It appears that a motorcycle was travelling east on Middle Road when the rider, a 44-year-old man, lost control and collided with a wall, ending up off the road.

He sustained facial injuries as well as injuries to his hands and arms.

The motorcycle received moderate front end damage.

Inquiries into this incident are underway.
