Tractor in house and bus collision
A tractor crashed into the wall of a house after a collision with a bus yesterday.
Both vehicles were heading east on Middle Road, Southampton, when the accident happened at 8 a.m..
A Police spokesman said: "It appears that the tractor careered into the wall of a nearby private residence, causing damage."
The accident took place near Five Star Island. There were no passengers on the bus at the time.
The tractor driver, a 75-year-old Sandys parish man, received cuts to his left hand and right knee. He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital but later discharged.
The bus driver, a 54-year-old St. George's man, was not injured. However, the wall of the house, the bus and tractor all sustained damage.
Burglary in Devonshire
A woman returned from an overseas trip to find she had been burgled.
The break-in took place at a house in Alexandra Road, Devonshire, between October 28 and November 2.
A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said: "The culprit stole a grey BlackBerry Pearl cellular phone and a quantity of jewellery."
St. George's break-in
A burglar got away with cash, jewellery and video games from a house in St. George's.
The break-in happened in Barrack Hill between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
Police also received a report of a burglary in Smith's, between 8 a.m. and 12 noon.
The offender broke into a house in Town Hill Road, stealing cash and a Louis Vuitton purse.
The Bermuda Police Service is investigating both incidents.
