A 74-year-old taxi driver was robbed as he dropped three young men off in Warwick.

Police said the taxi driver picked up the men from outside Brown & Co., on Reid Street, and drove them to Cedar Hill, in Warwick.

As the taxi entered St. Mary's Church parking lot, the passengers robbed the driver, stealing cash from his pocket before leaving the taxi and running away. The incident happened at about 2.50 p.m. on Thursday.

The taxi driver was uninjured and described the first suspect as a medium brown skinned man, approximately 5 ft 7 ins of slim build with close cut hair wearing a black sleeveless T-shirt.

The second suspect was described as slightly darker skinned than the first, wearing different clothes but similar characteristics.

All three suspects are believed to be 18 to 24 years of age.

Police are investigating the matter and are appealing for witnesses to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.

Police are still looking for Calvin (Baldy) Hansey Sr.

Police are continuing to appeal to the public for help in finding missing senior Calvin Hansey Sr., 75, went missing a week ago.

Mr. Hansey is described as dark skinned, 5 ft 9 ins of slim build and clean shaven.

He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue boxer shorts and is known to walk daily in the area of Montpelier Road, Middle Road and North Shore Road, Devonshire.

The Bermuda Police Service would like to commend those members of the public have helped to look for Mr. Hansey.

Anyone who may have any information on his whereabouts is urged to contact the Vulnerable Persons Unit on 295-0011 immediately.

Spanish Town aims for the youth for Labour Day

Entertainment group Spanish Town is aiming to attract a younger crowd for this Monday's Labour Day celebrations.

The event, which begins and ends at Union Square, this year has the theme "Unity in the Community, Let's Work Together".

Organisers say they teamed up with Spanish Town to spice up the occasion, but still appreciate the need to honour those who have paid their dues over the years.

Activities include a five-mile road race at 8.30 a.m., road walk, speeches and the "Bermazing Race".

The march begins at 11.30 a.m., and will be led by the Bermuda Regiment and feature labour groups and supporters.
