Women hurt in car crash
Two women were taken to hospital early yesterday after losing control of their car on St. David's Road, Southside.
The driver, a 24-year-old Hamilton Parish woman, was travelling west on St. David's Road, lost control of the vehicle, and collided with an embankment near the junction with Jacobs Point Road. Police attended the scene at 12.10 a.m.
Both the driver and the passenger, a 27-year-old Southampton woman, were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. The driver was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.
Collision near post office
A collision between a motorcycle and a car outside the Flatts Post Office sent a 40-year-old Hamilton Parish man to hospital on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Police, it appears the car, driven by a 47-year-old Pembroke parish woman, was leaving the Post Office travelling west when she collided with a motorcycle travelling east.
The motorcycle rider suffered cuts to his arms and complained of back pain, and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. The motorcycle was extensively damaged, but the car received only moderate damage.
Warwick burglary
Cash and jewellery were stolen from a Warwick home on Thursday while the residents were away.
According to the complainant, an unknown individual entered the Longford Road property sometime between 8.15 a.m. and 2 p.m.
