The Bermuda Police Service will hold its annual Police Memorial on October 8.

The memorial will take place at 4 p.m. at the Police Military Cemetery on Alexandra Road in Devonshire.

A Police spokesman said: "This is an opportunity to honour any Police officers who have died.

"If you are a family member or friend and would like to place a wreath or any tribute at the Police Memorial on the day, please contact Dwayne Caines at dcaines[AT] bps.bm or on 717-1906.

Man denies drugs charge

A Sandys man denied possession of cocaine and cannabis in an increased penalty zone yesterday in Magistrates' Court.

Tarjae Furbert, 25, was charged with having the controlled drugs on Boaz Lane, in Sandys, on May 29.

He was also charged with intending to supply the drugs.

Furbert, of Malabar Close, pleaded not guilty to both charges and will stand trial on January 20 in Magistrates' Court. He was bailed in the amount of $3,000.
